Not to be forgotten, visiting the vast Dead Sea (or Salt Sea) in southern Israel is an experience like no other. Located in a desert area that stretches for miles, the salt minerals of this body of water are sought out from all over the world for health and cosmetic treatments. And… you don’t even have to be able to swim to easily stay afloat! Mentioned in many biblical references, the Dead Sea has as its main tributary the Jordan River which extends from the Sea of Galilee in the north.
